Sadigura is a Hasidic dynasty named for the city of Sadhora (Sadigura in Yiddish), Bukovina, which belonged to Austria. The dynasty began in 1850 with Rabbi Avrohom Yaakov Friedman, a son of Rabbi Yisrael Friedman of Ruzhyn, and was based in Sadigura until 1914.
Rabbi Lazar said that the Sadigura Rebbe would express his amazement from the work of Shluchim around the world and how survival of Russian Jews thanks to the Rebbe. In particular, the Sadigura Rebbe was familiar with the Jewish community of Chernovtzy in Ukraine, led by Shliach Rabbi Menachem Glitzenshtein .
Aug 11, 2020 · The Sadigura Rebbe was a member of the Moetzas Gedolei HaTorah of Agudas Yisrael in Eretz Yisroel. The Sadigura Rebbe passed away at the age of 65-years-old. The Sadigura Rebbe had been sick for some time, and spent nearly a year in Los Angeles for various treatments. He returned to Eretz Yisroel a few months ago.
